Heading back to Italy once again!

Latest news from the “Bella Italia is calling us again” category: we are set to go on a month-long trip to northern Italy — because, honestly, last time we didn’t get enough art, history… and gelato. 😄

When we were last there two years ago, in Rome and Florence, we were amazed not by today’s Italy, but by the Italian Renaissance — by its grandiose architecture, the timeless masterpieces, and the vibe that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into another century. That said, we were a bit let down by how dirty many public spaces were and how overwhelmingly crowded everything felt. Granted, we visited during peak tourist season, but for a country that relies so heavily on tourism, we expected a bit more attention to cleanliness — especially in Rome.

This time, we’re venturing into northern Italy, where we’ve heard things are a bit more organized. We hope to discover places just as steeped in history, but in a more relaxed and, perhaps, more civilized setting. Here are some details about our itinerary:

✈️ Rome – We’re flying to the Eternal City because the plane tickets are cheaper to get there and, let’s be honest, we would never turn down a vacation in Rome. We’re expecting ancient ruins and dramatic photos at the Colosseum.

🌊 Genoa – A wonderful city by the sea, with buildings so colorful that they look like they were painted by an artist obsessed with every possible shade of ice cream.

🏔️ Turin – Elegant, underrated, and with lots of chocolate shops. Basically, if a museum and a mountain had a stylish child, it would be Turin.

🏙️ Milan – The fashion capital of the world. We’ll pretend we’re on the catwalk as we stumble over the cobblestones in our “comfortable” shoes.

🕍 Padua – A small cultural gem with stunning frescoes and a relaxed atmosphere. Imagine Hogwarts, but Italian style and with better coffee.

🚤 Venice – Yes, we’ll ride a gondola. Yes, we’ll get lost. No, we won’t regret it.

🎨 Florence – Renaissance art, Tuscan charm, and a photo album that will be filled with memories.

🏛️ Back to Rome – One last gelato, one last stroll through the market, and a suitcase full of memories (and probably a bottle or two of olive oil).

I’ll be sharing stories, photos, and occasional travel adventures (because what’s a vacation without a little adventure?). Whether you’re planning your next trip to Italy or just here for the photos of Italian pasta or gelato, I’m glad you’re stopping by.

Italy, get ready—we are on our way! 🍝✨
